LED Dash Lights – Why They’re Useful
LED dash lights are ideal for law enforcement vehicles. If you look around you’ll see that it’s not uncommon for them to have several types of lights throughout their cars. With LED lights now available for cars, it’s really expanded the possibilities for police agencies but for other companies as well. So what purpose does it serve to use dash lights as opposed to other types of lights?
There are several reasons to use LED dash lights. But make note that they’re not always used instead of other types of lights. Often times they’re used along with another light or even several other lights. Let’s look at a tow truck for instance. They wouldn’t use just dash lights. But they would couple them with roof top lights as well as the others around the truck. One reason for this is that they’re often on the side of the road among speeding traffic. They need to be as noticeable as possible from every angle. They also work a lot during the night time hours and this puts them in a compromising position. They need to ensure their own safety as well as the people they’re assisting.
Police or Highway Patrol departments also have a lot of use for them. There are several reasons why. One reason they’re used is to increase how noticeable they are. Some police cars are decked out with lights and you can bet they’re effective in getting others’ attention in an emergency situation. It may seem ironic that in some cases LED dash lights are used in order to be more noticeable while in other cases, they’re used in order to be less noticeable. Since they’re not as big as roof top lights, they’re better to use if you want to be inconspicuous in any situation. Then with an easy flip of the switch you can turn them on and they’re bright enough so that you’ll be noticed easily when it’s necessary.
