Full-Size Light Bars – Multiple Uses

Whether you operate a tow truck or emergency vehicle, you want to be sure that other vehicles on the roadway can see you when you are responding to a call.  When a tow truck is preparing a disabled vehicle for a tow, it is critical that other motorists and pedestrians can see the tow truck.  Sometimes the disabled vehicle is stopped in the middle of a busy roadway, and the tow truck must be stopped also in the middle of traffic.  This can be very dangerous but when tow trucks are equipped with full-size light bars they are able to stay safe and warn others.

Full-size LED light bars are perfect for escort vehicles. When there is an over sized truck driving on the highway or through a city, escort vehicles are used to warn other motorists and pedestrians that there is a truck approaching that is larger than one lane. At times, an escort vehicle may need to block an entrance or exit ramp to allow the over sized truck to use the ramp. By using an amber full-sized light bar, the escort vehicle is able to safety keep traffic flowing around their vehicle.

In a construction zone, traffic may need to be diverted around the construction.  This can create a traffic hazard because motorists may not be aware that construction is being done and may try to speed through the area.  Motorcycles and pedestrians and bicyclists also need to be aware that construction is ongoing.  The best way to make sure that everyone on the roadway knows that there is construction being done is to use full-size light bars.  These are usually found on construction trucks or police vehicles.

Responding to an emergency call can be difficult especially in heavy traffic.  An emergency vehicle may need to travel at a high rate of speed and may need to make several turns.  Motorists driving in all directions need to clearly see the emergency vehicle so they can either pull over, or stop on the right side of the road.  Using mini-sized light bars will not provide enough warning for motorists.  Using full-size light bars will project enough light so that motorists will be able to avoid a collision with the emergency vehicle.
